The 3 projects that I present below are those that resonated with the people I work with every day; as well as those that I consider to be of great value to me for the challenge they represented and the incredible experiences they gave me.

Proyectos

Telcel conventions

I have had the opportunity to work with our clients and friends of Telcel since 2009, holding strategic events for the company in different areas.  

In 2014, managers approached to find a very specific solution for their communication needs. The objective of the project sought to unify the entire strategic message of the company under the same line.  

Previously, conventions were held at the regional level and each region brought down the message of the company to its commercial force. The solution sought to centralize the holding of its conventions under the same organization and communication.

We were able to successfully implement this project, holding 8 conventions in a period of 2 months, for more than 2,500 people.  

The real challenge in this project consisted in the implementation of high-performance work teams with the ability to control every detail, considering the following aspects:

 

  • The organization, planning and operation of each of the 8 events with work cells ​ simultaneous high performance due to the nature of the project, under the same line of communication in both strategy and tactics.

  • Total control of the logistics of the event in the coordination of transfers, hotel, audiovisual production, graphic production, content, hiring of speakers, design and operation of group activities; shows and shows inside and outside the hotel, parallel agendas for guests according to their profile, breakouts, catering, hosting, special assemblies, stands, sponsorships, project management, administrative and financial management.

We managed to implement in this project, the bases of organization, planning and operation; under an organizational and strategic methodology for future events.

We have developed this project on various occasions and we are strategic allies for our clients and friends.

Photofest

The most important international festival of photojournalism and documentary photography in Mexico and Latin America.

In addition to the projects that I have worked for various clients and friends; I firmly believe in creating my own initiatives that help people to develop their life.

In 2009, documentary photographer, National Geographic explorer and good friend Ricardo Azarcoya and I, got together to create an event that had the ability to promote photographic talent in Mexico, through talks, workshops and conferences with the maximum exponents of photography in the world; help people through free efforts to develop their professional careers and open opportunities to improve their quality of life.

In 2012 we launched the first documentary photography festival in Mexico, drawing the attention of state governments, major brands and national and international media that participated in the project since the beginning.

Every year Photofest attracts more than 80,000 attendees through international speaker conferences, workshops to develop competencies in editing and photography, outdoor documentary screenings and  open-air exhibitions that intervene in public spaces and transport the guest to another world where they can appreciate high-level photographic content.

We have brought together more than 500 K people, 21 photographic exhibitions and world premieres of renowned brands in world content, more than 45 international speakers for workshops and conferences, and we have promoted the talent of photography in Mexico for more than 10 years. .

Currently, Photofest is evolving and has become a platform that integrates 4 large areas of development, to have a greater scope:

  • The festival.

  • Photofest Academy (E learining).

  • Outdoor Workshops (Workshops given in travel experiences).

  • Exhibitions (world-class photographic exhibitions in public spaces).

With the arrival of the pandemic in early 2020, business tourism and events practically disappeared. From one day to the next it was no longer necessary, thousands of people and companies lost their jobs, savings and sources of income. One of the most important industries in the world became obsolete.

 

The connection and communication between people became digital and those of us who are dedicated to the events and communication industry saw an opportunity to move forward, with a digital event format.

 

Hard work and training, development and professionalization of a digital service and the methodology to really make events that would impact and meet the objectives that our clients were looking for.

 

The IV Virtual Congress  Childhood Obesity is the first virtual event in which I had the opportunity to design and develop. A complex agenda with multiple speakers from all over the world and more than 1,500 people attending the event remotely.

 

We managed to develop the entire structure of the online event. From de communication, selling tickets, registration, mass mailing, virtual event platform with the required capabilities to support the event needs, speakers coordination in different parts of the world, the development of the event in a professional TV set, delivery of certificates of participation and event content; a challenge that opened doors for us and generated work for people who were eager to be active again.

 

This particular event means a lot to me, because it gave me the opportunity to reactivate myself in the most difficult period I have ever experienced in my life.
